    Hi All,

    I recently purchase a Ferrari 308 GTS and found the magnetic pickups in the Magneti Marelli distributor were fried. I replaced them but now still can't get the car to fire and run. Double checking everything now and thought I ask if it mattered which pickup went to either coil? I did mark everything when I removed it, but I want to be completely sure I have it all right. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

    You have come to the right place for advice....

    It sounds like you might have an aftermarket system.
    Tell us more or throw up some pictures....we will get you going.

    To answer your first question, Yes.
    The dual coil ignition on our cars function much as independent engines, really.

    Front bank
    Rear bank.

    So, the fact you have killed the entire engine, indicates you might have it backwards...:D :D
