Small project to ensure the points are set correctly and we have equal firing intervals. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Simon, I have done similar but mine was more reliant on a mass of cables on the workbench and gaffer tape! How are you spinning up the distributor, I simply attached a battery electric drill to the splined male section - it did confirm that all plugs were sparking equally and the ignition was advancing but not much else. I would be interested in what you have done Thanks Andy
The rig has a 3500rpm 12v motor under it with a speed controller, just hook up the timing light to check firing intervals plus a simple rubber hose connector Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Much neater than my effort. Good idea re the speed controller, I was just using the trigger on the electric drill to vary the speed. I had 8 of those Sparkrite plug testers connected up, spinning it up in the dark was quite entertaining!
