308 Drive

At the behest of my 12 year old, we put some air in the tires of my 77 GTB and started it up for the first time since before summer vacation.

It took a few cranks but it burst into life and burbled away quite happily while I let the fluids travel through the engine.

I had forgotten just how friendly it is to drive. With its higher profile tires and relatively low power it's wonderful around town. The tires make it a little unwieldy in slow corners, but everyone loves it and it had a swarm of kids around it at middle school drop-off.

I guess the lesson here is that even a most humble of Ferraris is still a Ferrari and gives as much pleasure, both both to the driver and everyone watching it pass by, as anything else I drive around in.
