I'm putting together my refurbished '78 308 suspension and not trusting anything the previous mechanics have done. One of the many things I have noticed is that the drop links didn't have washers that seem to be on the TAVs. The fronts had no washers, and the rears had dished washers on the rubber 2 piece bushes but not on the silent blocs. Superformance lists the dished washers for silent blocs (they don't specify front or rear.) The TAVs seem to show fender washers. Most pictures of suspension rebuilds look like they have fender washers on the drop links.

What are the correct washers for front and rear drop links?

    Thanks guys,

Brian, your's looks like what Superformance specs.
Neither of yours matches the TAV though. (See part 32 on the upper, which look like the spherical)

I'm interested in what either of you found on the front too.

Do you think part 30 in the diagram above sould be spherical?
In my middle picture above I have it reassembeled as I found it, but notice in the bottom picture that I've purchased a second sperical washer for the upper connection. It isn't pointed out in te diagram, but te second washer is there in the diagram.

    From what I can tell:

on the rear: 2 spherical washers on either side of the silent bloc, 2 fender washers on either side of the 2 piece "rubber cone."

on the front: 2 fender washers on the "cone," and nothing on the silent bloc.

Mine had nothing on either silent bloc (the rear was in bad shape and the link was moving up the torsion bar) spherical on the rear "cone" and fender washers on the front "cone."

I'm going back to the TAV and pictures, taking nothing for granted. If you saw the quality of the bushing install on mine (from a Ferrari shop no less) you wouldn't take the assembly for granted either.
