What are the current best practices for assembling a 308 engine? Which gaskets should be dressed/dry? What should they be dressed with? Which bolts should have locktite? etc.

I'm checking on this one because the last person that was in my engine defaulted to using gobs of silicone on everything. It made disassembly of the intakes a major event, but the car doesn't leak any fluids. Also, I know that the Jaguar community completely disregards the factory directions on gaskets because Jaguar has such a terrible history of oil leaks. I didn't know if Ferraris had similar problems which people have learned to deal with over time.
