I have a 1984 308 Euro and the engine cover will not stay up on it's own. Should I have the shocks rebuilt or do you just replace them? Does anyone know where to get this done Or can I rebuild them myself? I just bought this car two days ago and was lucky enough to be able to drive it around in sunny Florida for a while. The car has some minor problems that will be addresed one at a time. This car is so much fun to drive I don't know why I waited so long to get one. The bad news is the car has been shipped to Rhode Island where the roads S@$k. I am sure this is the first of many questions

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Welcome and congrats!!!!

Two schools of thought, match up some generic replacements at the Parts Store, or blow BIG bucks for some that say "Ferrari" on them........

    Your call!!!!

We have a "sticky" thread on replacement parts referals, probably a read thru there would find them......

    Hi,

    I know Superformance do these

    60118007_sm GTB/GTI/QV engine cover strut

check half way down this page http://www.superformance.co.uk/a-308/fittings.htm

I was lucky to get some on ebay for my 308GTB

Not worth rebuilding (I used a cut down broom handle to prop open the cover whilst waiting for the new struts to arrive!)
