    My new 308 of 2 weeks standing has supposidly a new updated engine installed when it was rebuilt in 1994. Can any one advise what were the updates and is there any way I can tie year of manufacture to engine no. Thanks for any help.

    John, what did you buy? Did they drop a new engine in the car? there were no updates as far as I know. give more details

    There were a few minor things....the waterpumps better, the altgernators big more output. Unless they did something like drop a QV in a 2v car.
