Well, I just changed my clutch on my QV and many have brought up the George Evans 308/328 clutch kit. Here are my impressions. Just some background I have 3 308s 2 QVs and a carb 308. The PP said Valeo the clutch disc said nothing of a brand name on it. After installing the new clutch and adjusting it I was ready to go. I even installed a new clutch cable and lubed everything. I knew it would be stiffer as this is a new pressure plate etc. but I wasn't happy when I felt the stiffness. Now, I have a 78 (no angle geometry change from stock) with a fairly stiff pedal but my QV now is close to where my 78 is. This isn't cool. I have used Borg & Beck clutches in the past and that is what my QV had before the change. Major difference. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that from my experience the Evans auto clutch kit made my pedal much stiffer than I think it should be. I asked Evans Auto before I purchased it if it was applicable for the QVs and I was informed it was even softer than stock with only a 300lb PP. I disagree with this claim. Basically, if I had to do it over I would have went with Borg & Beck.

Thanks, interesting info as I have a 78! It's not the worst I've driven, but it's no Focus!
