This exhaust system will fit a 308 USA version with the large screen “diaper”. It is designed to be used without catalytic converters. The ends will connect directly to the end of the header and the hanger will bolt to the spring exhaust holder.

This is true dual exhaust set up with each bank having its own set of pipes, muffler and tips.

There is also an oxygen sensor bung fitted with a plug welded into the pipes right after the flange connection. This allows an exhaust gas analyzer to be connected to monitor each bank. This is extremely helpful when on a dyno or when setting up the carburetors. This bung location is the preferred location when analyzing the combustion gasses.

The mufflers are Dynomax Race Bullets made of aluminized steel with a straight through design.

The tips are Flowtech Terminator Exhaust Tips made of chrome-plated steel with a slanted, non-rolled edge. Inside of each tip there is a glass-packed resonator.

The pipes and flanges are a combination of original pipes and new steel pipe.

I used this set-up initially because when I bought the car the exhaust was full of holes and I needed something quick and easy to get my car on the road for a year or so before it went in for a restoration.

The sound is very deep and progressive. The more throttle the louder it gets and it builds to a very mellow, deep sound. There is no raspy sound or vibration. I would rate it as medium loud and a “7” out of “10” on a scale. It sounded exactly as a Ferrari should.

Still available, but no sound clip is available. The sound is deep, nor raspy.

Does anyone know whether this exhaust can be mounted on a QV?

    Thanks!

These look like they would fit on a 75 gt4 w/o too much hassle. Has anybody tried that you know of? Are these specifically for originally cat cars?

These were made for my 78 308 GTS USA model. The car originally had cats, but the setup was fabricated to go directly to each header (no cats).

The mounting distance between the "dual spring" hangers is 37.5". This could easily be modified. The distance between the middle of the two tips (one tip on each side) is 27". The tips fit the oval opening of the USA diaper.
