I've noticed that the driver side floor of my 308 has material chipping up off the floor. It looks like filler? I know the floors are fiberglass but what's the stuff chipping up off the floor? It looks fugly. How do I fix it?

Is it the inside or the underside of the car?

It's inside under the floor mats.

Is it that thin sheet of black floor covering that's under the floormats and seats? If so, strip it out and replace it.

I will but what do I replace it with? Is there a recommended coating?

I don't know where to get that OEM "plastic wallpaper". Personally, I'd probably replace it with Dynamat.

I'm thinking the same thing. Thanks for the input.

I know it's an old thread but for information of anyone who finds it. My 1980 gtb has exactly the same. It looks like a layer of grey body filler spread very thinly on the floor. Mine has dribbles and runs all over too. I sanded the dribbles and the fibre glass resin seems yellow with the gunk then red paint (undercoat?) and then black.
