Hi, Does anyone have any extra driver floor mat retaining clips? I'm referring to the aftermarket invention that helped with this issue. My driver side floor mat moves quiet a bit while I'm driving. Or, know where to buy them? (I emailed Birdman today to see as well) Thank you. Sincerely, Mike
I have the Birdman clips and they are the most tenacious, gnarly things in the world. That's been great over these last 3 years until I wanted to remove my floor mats. I had to back off the bolts on my seats to pull the Birdman clips since I couldn't get them off of the mats themselves. As an alternative, I've seen people loop a piece of wire around the seat rail somehow and then run the wire through the edge of the mat. I like this solution better. I haven't put my aftermarket mats back in yet (I had them out for Concorso Italiano judging) and am going to fiddle with wire or maybe a D-ring/clip solution. The Birdman clips are great; just over-the-top.
If I need to I think a well thought out placement of plastic cable tie solution with a grommet would do the trick for us. Or cut out section from a hanger with clips as used to hang-up dress pants. Sounds weird, but could prove to work. It would mean a small hole in the aftermarket mat, but in this case safety wins.
