I hit the corner of my garage while putting my car away last night. It was a direct hit (straight on) on the drivers side going about 5 mph. No scratches but the bumper is pushed in on one side-can anybody tell me how to fix this? Thanks guys....

    The easy way....
fasten a stout rope or webbed-belt around the front bumper to an immovable object. twist the rope or belt or use the belt's ratchet (if so equipped) and the bumper should pull right out. You can also back the car up & achieve the same effect. Once the bumper's gas cylinder has been compromised, it's not too difficult to push in & out. The shock needs replacing

    The right way....
Track down another bumper shock. replace.

And if you feel a bit European.....
Push the other side in and get that Euro look. Just don't bump anything anymore.

New bumper shocks (if you can find one)...$400
    used bumper shocks ($250)
e-bay used ($100) frequently for the pair.

I havbe an even easier fix, find a piece of wooda nd wrap it in something soft and pry behuind the bump near the bumper shock and it will pop out they are hydralic and are made to be pushed in. I like most removed the bumprer piston drilled a hole in the side let the oil out and pushed the bumper in, of course you do not want to run into anything.

I tried the pry on my first compressed shock. It didn't work. I needed a body shop to pull it out. On the second time (same shock) I used the web belt with no problem. I think it had to do with the angle of the bumper. After two hits, I replaced the shock.
