Not sure if it is or not but in the case of that application none of the standard inch sizes offered fits well enough to be considered in my opinion. For the 15 years or so that either the factory or the SRI offerings will last I don't see the price as a barrier. The water applications are a good example. The Gates hose can be selected as fitting just a little tight or a little loose but neither is perfect in some of the positions. Just close enough in that case. The fuel pipe size has no size close enough for safe use.
Funny you mention Porsche because their fora are exactly where I look to see what is available and working. Bigger numbers. Planet 9 has a lot on this.
