    My shifter is very tough going into 1st and 3rd. I have to push down on the shifter to get it into gear. I have decided to replace the bushing at the bottom of the shifter and the one going into the linkage. Anybody have experience in getting to the shifter and taking off the center console that allows you access to it? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

    I had a similar problem. Turned out to be a bit of debris that fell through the gate.
    Hope your fix is as easy.

    Thanks for the replies. I did a search but no luck on a similar problem.
