I'm trying to verify the contents of my 75 308 GT4 tool kit. My "A" kit seems to be lacking. It has the 6-22mm spanners (8, 10, 13, 14, 17, 19, 22), a pair of pliers, one philips screwdriver, one flat-head screwdriver, and the tool on the far left I believe is the "Sparking plug spanner". Can anyone identify the other tools I have, and maybe show pictures of a complete set of tools or at least of the tools I am missing?

My "B" kit has everything as described in the owners manual, plus a ratcheting tool for the jack or wheels... which matches this post for a GTB/S:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135431852&postcount=2

So I presume my "B" kit could be out of a GTB/S.

    Thanks - Chris

The owners manual describes the tool kits as:

    "A:
    -- Carburettors spanner.
-- Open ended spanner 6-22 mm.
    -- Pliers 180 mm. long.
-- Screwdriver - American type 120 mm. long.
-- Screwdriver - American type 150 mm. long.
-- Philips screwdriver up to 4 mm. dia.
-- Philips screwdriver 5-9 mm. dia.
    -- Sparking plug spanner.
-- Short extension for exhaust gas analyzer for rear manifold of cylinders 1-2-3.
-- Short extension for exhaust gas analyzer for rear manifold of cylinder 4.

    B:
    -- Lifting jack.
    -- Wheels removing spanner.
    -- Alternator belt.
-- Air conditioner compressor control belt.
    -- Air pumps control belts.
    -- Set of fuses.
    -- Set of bulbs.
    -- Sparking plugs."

    Hi Chris,

I have the toolkit at home. I will try to take a photo of mine tonight.

I may be missing some stuff from mine also, but I'm not sure.

    Here's what I got:

Looks like it's similar, but that I may be missing some stuff, which I think may be the exhaust gas analyzer.

I really havent touched mine since I got it. I took it out of the car, and replaced it with some useful tools from sears (including a set of metric wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, pliers, etc). I keep the belts, and a set of fuses in the car.

If anyone else has additional info, I'd love to know.

It would appear... from Dom's pictures and the post I linked to, that my Tool Kit is not actually from a 308 GT4. Anybody know what mine might be from?

Given the early year of your car yours is actually similar to the Dino kit, as far as tools.....GOOD! As they are worth far more money on eBay! LOL!

The later carb 308GTBs like mine go to the larger tool roll, main difference is we get 4 cheapo screwdrivers, not 2.

You have everything in the smaller roll, though...Weber carb tool, emergency window crank handle. You can see the bigger wrench assortment in Dom's roll.

First time I've seen the plaid liner! A rare option, for models destined for Scotland! LOL!

The thing about the tools is there was constant variation, reuse of previous models.......so it's not a stretch at all to say you have the "right" ones.

FerrariUK offers the 328 tool roll for a good price...nicer plastic handles on the screwdrivers and Ferrari logo on them....in our cars they were clear orange plastic handles, no labeling.

The wrenches also don't say Ferrari, but say "Forged in India", IIRC.

I'll try to email you a pic of the updated 328 roll......

Excellent... I'm guessing the black tool on the right is the window crank handle... which tool is the weber carb tool, and what is it used for?

There should be four sampling tubes for the rear exhaust bank, the front bank are permanently mounted and routed over by the coils....

Looks like Dom's black plastic thumb wheel has broken off the jack shaft...pretty common for them to do......

Sampling tubes have pretty much been rendered obsolete, as we use the tailpipes for our modern 4 gas analyzer probe (BIG), after synching the carbs with a Unisyn airflow meter.

Right, the speed driver off set one is the window crank...

Oh, you don't have a carb tool! It's the small hex socket T handle in Dom's kit...available thru Weber....cheap enough.

Are both your screwdrivers wood handle? That's the Dino style, IIRC.

Also not sure why you have so many spark plug wrenches, that wierd looking one, you'll have to get guru Tom Shaughanessy involved! I dunno......

Rusty Champion J11Y's are also absolutely correct....LOL!
    Those look 25 years old........

Never use them in the engine though...NGK BP5ES only! Raise your right hand and pledge..........
