    I'm going to be towing a (newly acquired :) ) 75 308 GT4 on a trailer this Saturday.

I was wondering if there are any suggested places on the car to attach the tie-downs... or any places NOT to attach tie-downs.

    Thanks - Chris

Check for anchor points on the car, my 308GTB has one front and rear if you look hard for them.....

Conversely, strapping nylon thru the mag wheel openings is a fast way to avoid damage, if you find no other way....

Avoid metal hooks thru the suspension A arms, they can be bent or at minimu deformed at the edges...

Congrats! Post some pics, once you make it home!

I've trailer my 308QV by putting the straps through the mags. No problems. However, be sure not to put the straps near the air valve stems.

Not exactialy sure myself, I drove mine home. :D Look for something really solid. Like part of the frame. I agree not to hook on to the suspension. Thru the wheels may be the way to go. Congrats on the Dino. Whats the story? Pics? We fellow GT/4 owners love to hear about new owners and thier cars!
    Keep us posted!

    Cheers
    Kurt

I anchored mine with straps through the wheels (and cloth under the straps to prevent scuffs) in a sea container to Alaska. Worked great, moved two inches sideways.

    Use quality wide straps.

I ended up strapping the front wheels down as described with 10,000 lb straps and then tied manually as a safety. The rear did not have good tie down points near the wheels, so I ended up tieing the rear right to the tow hook, and the rear left to the frame where the tow hook would be. It ended up working very well! The picture is about halfway through the unloading stage... it was fully covered for the drive.

Thank you guys for the suggestions
    -Chris

In the next couple days after I get my pictures all sorted, I'll start a new thread with some info and pictures of the car!
