Does any one know when Ferrari started supplying service books for dealers to stamp ? I think it didn't come in to '78. Previously it was just a warranty card?

When I bought my 77, it came with the service book. It had the first two service coupons out and the stub stamped.

Ok thanks. Maybe they started in '76 then as I'm pretty sure Dinos and Daytonas don't have them. Unfortunatly mine is missing then from my 308.

I have some.....they show the date and dealer that put the car in service, along with the VIN..

As a Factory Item I'd think it'd have a part number......

Do you need a copy of one, I could mail it?????

Thanks but don't really need one. Just wondered if mine should have had one and when Ferrari started issuing them.

    Hello,
My 1977 Fibreglass still has its original Warranty Card and Owner's Service Book plus a book listing Sale and Service Agents Worldwide.
The brown leather wallet has 'Dino' printed in Gold in the bottom left corner, does anyone know if this is because Ferrari still had a few left over from the 246 or GT4 production and wanted to use them up?if so, could anyone please let me know what the correct one should look like, would it be 308GTB or a Prancing Horse?
    Thanks, Tom.

Tom, my 76 glass books is also brown leather, but only a tiny cavallio on the bottom right, and a clip (snap) to close the book. The warrenty card with the car is all listed as 308 76, the service interval, sales and service agents, radio warrenty card, and service manual. It clearly states 308gtb North American version in all the documents. My VIN is in the upper 19,000 if that helps.

    Hello Big Red,
Thank you for answering my query. My books are also dated 1976 and my chassis/engine no. is 20267.The earliest history I have is that my car was ordered in July 1976.Building commenced in September due to the Italians having August off for summer holidays and completed and registered 14th March 1977.I have the names of all the previous(6) and would really like to hear their stories of ownership but do not wish to invade their privacy or hear how they rolled it!.Joke I hope.
I have owned her for seven years last September and she has been well worth every penny,I could never sell her.
    Regards, Tom.
