    lol...when I said "discussion", I meant on fchat! :)

There were photos posted recently showing different fonts.....all on glass cars. IIRC.

    I think Carl888 posted them.

I was so in love with that car when growing up in Adelaide......my absolute favourite colour on a carb GTB.......I hope to see your 308 Vetro around the usual Ferrari traps sometime in the future........your car was THE car that first started my love affair with the 308 shape.

Likes Scott's car, it is most beautiful Ferrari 308 I've ever seen. Only Blue Sera or Dino Metalizzatto come close. Oh and grigio too LOL

So the Vetro went in for it's annual service and check over and we decided to rebuild the suspension. The bushes looked
a little worse for wear with the odd creak and a little movement here and there, so we re-bushed inner and outers all
round and did the anti-roll bars at the same time.

It had all been refinished some years ago, so no need for new powder coat as it still looked really fresh.
New bushes here, tacked in place before repainting.

Here in the UK expert mechanic Aldo Riti really does know his Ferrari's, and although the shock absorbers didn't look that
old, we took them off to test and reset the bump rebound. As Aldo suspected they had been fitted new out of the box at
their standard settings, he much prefers to set them up using his experience and sure enough it's made a huge difference.

Then onto the flat floor for laser geometry set up.

The car drives like new, Aldo's just old enough to remember how they came from the factory and this one's now as it
should be. I've driven many classic's over the years and I have to say it's a real joy, it now sits dead flat into the corners
not a bump or knock anywhere and gives total confidence in fast road holding and cornering.

With the old damper settings it had a tendency to squat under acceleration and go a little nose down under braking but not
any more. Interestingly it actually seems more compliant all round as well, so an absolute pleasure to drive, it's wonderful!

Beauty, congrats! I remember how different the car felt after I did a full suspension rebuild a few years ago. The before and after is absolutely amazing.

Thanks for the kind words about the car guys, we really are lucky to be owners of this wonderful
model that's only just beginning to get the recognition it truly deserves as a real Ferrari classic!

Very nice Mike! I can concur that just after getting my suspension rebuilt 2 months ago, the car drives brilliantly. In fact now that the weather has improved if you fancy a coffee we could meet up to compare notes on the cars!. I think we are only about 5 miles apart so let me know.....

Ah the weather has improved in London? I'm planning to go there at the end of the month, from Paris, with my 68' Vanden Plas! Hope it'll be sunny!

Ok, question regarding the windscreen. All of my windows are marked St. Gobain on them apart from the windscreen which is tinted but has no markings at all. I have to presume therefore that this has been changed at some point and maybe an aftermarket one was put in. What markings do other have on their windscreen?

No, all the rest are Saint Gobain.
I've never seen any other brand except one of Nerofer 328s with a Pilkington windshield. He can confirm that for sure.

Yes, the one from my GTS; and it is not original, of course. Originals are indeed Sigla, as on my GTB, which has been produced five weeks later.
Furthermore, as far as 328 go, on late-production 328s (the "last two-thirds" of production, more or less) all glasses are tatooed from the factory with the chassis number of the car and three additional letters (in case of my GTS: "80515KPP") if the tatoo is missing on one window/windshield, that glass has been replaced...and not re-tatooed.

I can't be certain, however, it appears that the assembly number is 52.

4right, your car is very interesting for me because with your assembly number just below 60, you are near the change of the headliners.

May I ask you to confirm that you have the early shape with the separation between sun visors. They also do not have snap button like on the picture attached ?

I am sorry for the poor quality but you can easily understand, I haven't seen one for real (yet), it is a snapshot made by one kindly owner.

You should also have the famous gather pocket behind the seat, we talked about it on Sebino81 thread:
