I am looking at a Vetrosinia 76. What's the going rate for a good driver all sorted. I am looking for a Europ spec car.
With a lot of luck/timing $175K, most likely $225-275, possibly $325 plus. Depends on condition, location, who is selling it, how many people want it besides you, etc.
When I was buying my GT4, the dealer also had a Fiberglass 308 for sale at 14K more. Love my GT4 but looking back, it would have been nice to have purchased the fiberglass 308. As the say hind sight is 20/20.
If someone hadn't run into my parked 308GT4, I would never have had a second thought about buying a GTB. Given the choice, I'd rather the GT4, but it would have to be a good one, which mine was. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have one ( red on tan, good driver all sorted ) but it's a NA spec with euro bumpers located in Toronto with recent ppi done at FoO. Let me know if you have any interest . Rgds
Nice idea I've done that on my 105 Alfa. It's probably illegal (in Aust.) as I haven't changed the bulb for an amber one yet..
My LED globe is clear but flashes amber, so you can't see it through the lens. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember my mom telling me as a small kid, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything". Here in America the only glass cars one could get back in the days were the "less desirable" wet sumps. I carry this burden now, daily, but still do not need my eyes poked out.
I have a spare dry-sump gearbox casing if you want to 'fix' it. You need a few other bits too though.
No eye poking intended, was talking about Euro cars and just for information only. Friend of a friend nearly bought a Vetro recently here in the UK not knowing the different specs, funnily enough dealer didn't mention it was wet sump......
We have the most limited edition glass car - and the most rare of the lot. I say to those that call it less diserable to go get their own
Here we go again! 808 glass cars in total (Factory figure) Wet sump markets: USA, 101 Aus, 44 Japan, 10?? Circa 653 glass cars dry sump. (Of both left and right hand drive).
Pedro, On the Australian and European vetroresina cars, I have only ever seen this type of fastener for the headlight covers. The screw is 10mm in diameter, the thread is 10mm long and the thread is M4. The sales brochure does show a different type. Have you checked the part number in the parts book to see if there are any changes? Here is a pic: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello Martin! Wet sump 308 engines actually have the same sequence as the 308 GT/4 engines, so you'll see Peter's engine falls into the 308 GT/4 sequence. Additionally, all wet sump 308 GTB also have the 308 GT/4 transmission (With the shorter 5th. gear) so when checking the transmission number on these wet sump cars, the transmission number also follows the GT/4 sequence, NOT the dry sump sequence.
Any chance of dragging yourself away from Judge Judy and looking at the book on your shelf? OK, I guess not. European 308 GTB final drive: Overall: 1:3.405 5th. gear ratio: 1:0.952 RPM @ 100 km/h: 2,868. USA/Australia/Japan 308 GTB & 308 GT/4 (All markets) final drive: Overall:1:3.529 5th. gear ratio: 1:0.918 RPM @ 100 km/h: 2,966 Makes you wonder why they'd bother. Second, third and fourth gear the same ratio, first gear shorter (As per GT/4).
