Wow, what a great picture! I love it! Any chance you'd have a high res version of it? I'd love that as my desktop picture!

By the way, would any of you happen to have pictures of the 1976 Paris Motor Show and of the 308 GTB that was presented? Do you know what serial number was/were there?

Beautiful GTB. The only thing that I find questionable are the mirrors, look like they came off a Pontiac.

I would call that a very fair price for such a beautiful car.

Isn't there a section for re-bodies somewhere else on Ferrarichat so we don't have to look at it here........

Beautiful. I would switch the bumpers back to black though.

Easily convertible back to original...the hard part is the buscuits ;)

The best feature on this car is the warrenty card following , that's more rare than the car itself.

    Agreed.

Love the fact of the mention of converting it to a Group 4 racer. I'd rather spend the money and convert it back to original. However, buyer can do what they please.

Which is why I said it's a really good price. Bringing this back to original is not a big deal!

Carl do you mean the new production figure for vetroresina is now 808?

    Hi Claude, hope you're good!

808 is not new, it's always been that number!

The figure of 712 glass cars produced I believe to be wrong. I don't know who claimed 712 originally but it wasn't the factory. You can see my reasoning in post 56. Ferrari claim 808. I know that the factory claims cannot be given as gospel. However, that's the official figure and to this date, no one I have ever challenged has been able to dispute that factory number with any evidence. One thing for certain, that figure of 712 does not include the Australian cars so it cannot be correct on that count alone. I have always gone with the factory number of 808 in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.

Thanks Carl, yes I'm good hope you're too!

I've always been with the thinking that 712 was the number. Read it once somewhere and stick it in my memory.

I would not say that necessarily George. Those fenders are significantly different. If that is overlaid fiberglass, half the panels will have to be rebuilt to restore to the original body lines. Not sure; I'm not familiar with that kit and what was involved.

    You've got mail!

Mine should be in Japan today. Still a few days/weeks before I can meet her again, and a few weeks/months before I can take the wheel and actually drive her. My patience is tested to its limits! ;-)

They're saying it's a dry-sump in the description... I don't think it is. By the way, what is the barrel shaped container on the right side of the engine bay?

Interesting re: the Chassis number of 19579 completed in June of 1976. Mine is 19329 and was completed 4/6/1976. Quite a long way apart for the same month of construction.

That car in question is wet sump. The cylinder you refer to is the charcoal cannister. Present for emissions regulations.
