Could someone please confirm which bits of the interior were originally either leather or vinyl? I think the dash and center console were vinyl and the seats and door cards in leather? Thanks.

Correct in general, although there were options for more leather in the interior, including a leather dash and armrests. The center console, at least in the QVs, seems always to have been leather. Not sure about the early 308s.

Cool thanks. I forgot about the armrests. They do look like vinyl on my car. Was the instrument binnacle on the dash vinyl as standard? My centre console has been recovered in leather but wasn't sure if that was standard so thanks for clarifying.

The armrest standard covering was black vinyl to match the standard dash covering. The instrument binnacle always matched the dash - or at least I've never seen/heard of a car where that wasn't the case.

For 308s with factory optional leather, I think (based on seeing only a couple of cars) that the armrests, dash and binnacle were done in matched leather.

All the dash was high quality vinyl, BUT leather was an expensive and rare option.
    Console was always black vinyl..
Door panels are leather, arm rests are vinyl to match the dash.

Seat surfaces are leather, but the trim strips and edge bead are vinyl.

This is the most common construction, but as stated some one could option the dash to leather.

For the carb'ed 308s? I think it went to leather with either the 2vi's or QV's...

(Assuming your talking about the surface around the shifter and ashtry...)

Standard coverings for all injected 308s:

    Dash and armrests - vinyl
Full seat coverings, door panels and console - leather

Sorry one more question. Was the edge of the console on injected cars always double stitched with a lip? I've seen some cars like this and some cars without. Anybody got a pic of the center console from an injected car?
