Hi everyone: After 220 miles on full tanks fuel gouge showing about 1/8 tank but no low fuel warning light. So I thought this was the perfect time to verify either it works or not. I jacked car up from drivers side to transfer as much fuel as possible to right tank. Fuel pump ran dry and zero fuel pressure but still no warning light. Is there a way to test the low fuel warning light without removing the fuel level sender? There are three wires attached to the sender. Two have insulated connectors and the center one is just an open connector. I can't find a thread on this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Barry Image Unavailable, Please Login
What year, and version, 308gts? If a '78-'79 US 308GTS, touch the RN (red-black) wire to the N (black) wire with the key "on" = low fuel warning light should come "on".
Steve I connected the black wire (center) to the red and nothing. just for grins I connected the Red to Purple (right and left) and the gauge went to full. Anyway looks like the light in the fuel gauge is bad or disconnected from when I had the instrument panel out to install the LED lights. Thanks
