With all of the new new stuff out there, I was impressed that while getting gas in a ritzy town, someone came over to tell my how beautiful the car is. I've found that the wealthy folk seem to know the brand and immediately slap a mental price tag on the windshield and don't look much further. But someone who was tooling about in expensive wheels came over to admire her and shared that he believed the PF 308 is the most beautiful Ferrari ever offered.. Quite a tall compliment!

I was pretty glad to have an excuse to drive her around. Getting gas is always a good one.:)

It's impossible to take the 308 out and not have folks admire it, talk to you, etc!

I drove my 328 1500 miles this year, and had exactly one person come over and say something. One other person gave me a thumbs up while driving. That's it. Two reactions in 1500 miles. My car is black on black so maybe people don't see it.

Weird! Where are you located? I'm in Houston, which seems to have a decent car scene. Mine is also red, so maybe that does help. I can't get gas or do anything without someone chatting me up. Put about 1500 miles on it in the last four months, myself :)

South suburban Denver. Colorado has always had a very weak car culture.

But on the bright side, I have extraordinary mountain driving roads within a short drive of my home. :)

Expecially if the color is red, this car draws a lot of attention, as it's one of the best looking Ferrari ever, if not the best looking...

    ciao

I'd take that trade. Houston has awful roads and there is nothing but flat, boring driving anywhere near it.

Bright red anything catches peoples eyes, if i see flash of bright red on the road, I look. it may be CRV or Miata, or whatever. Same with bright yellow. OTOH, a new silver C8 Corvette (or lambo, or other exotic in a neutral color) can pass going the other way, and I may, or may not notice it, on a divided highway.

Couple truths in life: if you have a flat tire on the side of the road in a Rolls Royce, NO ONE will pull over to try and help; the other is many people (certainly not all) will ignore what they think is an expensive sports car, as they don't want to give the owner the satisfaction of acknowledging it. I get gobs of attention in my 1937 Ford pickup, a lot less in the 308. Some people look at the 308 surreptitiously as it drives by, but won't be obvious about it. LOL: Once I caught guy in a Rolls looking at my 308 at a stop light, as soon as he saw that i saw him, he quickly looked away.

I drove the 308 to a big box autoparts store earlier today and was thinking on the way about this thread and how I hadn’t heard anyone say, “Hey, Magnum!” for a while.

Well, as I was climbing out a guy exiting one of the nearby stores shouted just that. We had a good talk and the car certainly made him smile. He has wanted one forever.

I bought my stuff (15 amp fuses, if you must know) and it was getting to be dusk. The young sales clerk had been outside helping someone with their car. When I flipped up the headlights the clerk flipped too. He thought the pop up headligbts were the coolest thing in the world. More smiles.

Sometimes this car just makes me want to dance.

It's kind of of interesting that the 308 is soo beautiful, it almost doesn't matter that it's an automobile. Could be a rocket, hovercraft, time machine, phone booth, whatever ... Just pleasing to look at and study the form.

    More big smiles today!

Passerby stopped to look inside. "You sit soo low!" Wow (Big grin :)).

For some reason, I've needed to drive her every day this week. The machine loves it!! Creaking completely goes away, It starts up after only1/2 to 3/4 crankshaft rotation, idles like a watch and choke function is smooth and predictable Poor car sits under a cover most of its life.

It is such a sweet package. The connection of that beautiful motor to the tight chassis while still providing some comfort. You don't necessarily sit in it as much as you 'wear' it when you drive. Thank you PF, and thank you Ferrari + honorable mention to so many others who gave input. I think the 308's had some suspension tuning input from Niki Lauda (?)

I live in SoCal. I cant go 1 drive with someone giving thumbs up or asking me about the car. Most people really enjoy the older cars, especially now.

The 308/328 are still probably my all time favorite cars.

My best drives ever were in my ex 328. Enjoy your cars - life is really too short.

My sig other drives our ‘76 GTB Just about every evening 6-7pm and I sometimes ride along. She gets thumbs ups and opening bus doors so people can yell good things...it never stops. No joke. Every stop light people drop windows to say something nice. Never heard a negative word.

Unfortunately - not all sunshine & rainbows. I've seen the "Green monster" a couple of times. But the good part of human nature is a better focus.

I just came across a gardening truck who was revving his engine, and, an ambulance on the freeway was honking with both EMT's smiling and waving!! :D

Maybe because my car is black and right hand drive. I think many have no clue what it is. It’s just tiny and pretty.
