    My 1978 308 GTS has developed a problem with the Tach... it does not work at idle, and when I rev the motor it briefly rises a little bit then goes back to zero. I replaced the tach with a new one, and the ignition coils are new so that doesnt seem to be the problem. Any suggestions?

    Better check the coil signal wire on the neg side of one of the coils. It's a brown wire. Use an independant rpm sensor on the negative coil terminal to narrow down where the issue is starting.
