I have an extra targa top cover that covers the GTS top inside the cabin.

It's black and the snaps are in excellent condition. There is a little fraying of the stiching. and there is a little hole that is repairable. I was going to put it up on ebay but I thought I would give f-chatters a chance first. I have no idea what it's worth. I will post pic's in a bit.

Let me guess: You got it out of a 308 you bought in NY. You kept it after they came back for the car a few days later when your bank stopped payment on the check you gave them right after they found out it had title problems.

How about I meet at a local hotel and I'll take a look at the cover, sound good to you?

    uh....no.

The cover was in my house when I traded the car in over a year ago and I found it a few weeks ago and I don't need it since the car I have now has one.

Wierd how that happens. When I got my 328 it had two of them for some reason..... Now I am stuck with one also - Though I don't think it had the snaps in good shape. Ebay time!

I'm guessing you mean the snaps? What is the best source? I could probably get a little more if I fix it first. Or maybe not... I dunno.

If you are referring to tops, FoUK lists them 880 pounds sterling

I might be interested if the price doesn't get too high. Let me know what you want for it and we'll go from there! I kind of doubt I'd even use it but it would be nice to have.

I mean the little black capped things. I just bought two last week from T.Rutlands when I was over there for the swap meet. I think I paid 20 each. They had the horse on top too. I think you can find them without the horse for a little less but I am not sure where to find those.

Thanks! Great info - T.Rutlands has everything! I remember reading somewhere on this site that the snaps can be found for a bit cheaper, but without the little horsey. I guess I'll have to do a search.

The 328 ones look a little different than Matt's 308's - If I remember correctly, they were black plastic tops with silver bottoms.

    Jerry,

Now that you mention it, The one from my 83 has black tops/silver bottoms and the one from the 78 has silver tops and silver bottoms.

Anyway. I wanted to give it to the new owner of the car. I THINK he lives next door to Darth550 but we can never get the guy to stop to talk to him.

    Tillman,

Thanks for the info. Since $385 is price for the repo. Would $150 or there abouts be a fair price since mine is original but needs a little TLC?

I just wanted to post a public thank you to Matt. I decided to buy the top cover discussed in this thread. Matt agreed to my price and shipped the top out before I even had the check in the mail. When I got the top I was surprised that it wasn't in near as bad a shape as he had described. It needs a little cleaning but is in good shape otherwise.

    Thanks Matt!

Thanks John. Like I said, What might be good condition to me might be excellent or bad to someone else. I am glad you are happy with it.
