I have a 1984 308 GTS QV. with an aftermarket turbo fitted. It goes like stink, but runs very rich on fuel. And brake servo doesn’t work as it should. should I put original exhaust back and take turbo off?

Jeepers no! The only way to fix that unruly brake servo is to remove the shifter knob.

I would take it back to stock. I don't like modified Ferraris myself. ;)

Could you explain why you think the turbo set up is affecting your brake servo? Thanks.

I would say replace the check valve and vacuum hoses for the brakes then tune the ecu properly and enjoy the car.

Is it also possible the cams are not stock? Hot cams could also cause your brake issue and an electric vacuum assist may be needed.

I would fix the brake vacuum issue and get the tune better and drive the h@ll out of it.

However, if history is any indication. It would end up in a million pieces and I would take years to put it back together to my satisfaction. I am just like that with my projects. Don't be like me. get it running and enjoy it.

Why is it running rich? Does it have an aftermarket ecu that you can tune? I have an 84 qv turbo. I wouldn’t own the car without one.
