Does anyone know the "nominal" voltage for the alternator? My car runs approximately 10.5 volts at idle and 13.3 volts at 2,500 RPM or above. I suspect the voltage regulator is going or needs to be replaced. In addition, the oil pressure will increase approximately 15 PSI with the headlights on as the voltage drops to 12.0 or so. I understand the pressure sensor is working on resistence so perhaps a dirty/bad connection or a bad sensor.

    As always, thanks in advance.

Steve, assuming you have the Bosch 65 amp alternator I would have expected the voltage to be 14 - 14.5 @ just over 5000 rpm
