It is recorded in the dyno chart. It shows 5.5 psi and 229 HP at the tire. That should be about 270 BHP (engine).

These are low boost kits, designed that way so we do not have to go into the motor at all. No mods need be made. Stock head gaskets, injectors, everything. Low boost means low danger of engine damage.

That's a big increase over stock on a 2V motor. They typically dyno about 160whp stock. So that is almost a 50% increase over stock, I'll be that is fun.

    Sweet!

I didn't think these kits were available any more?

Thanks didn't see the bottom of the chart, confirms that I'd be fine with 6psi.

"I'll be that is fun." The owner was giggling on his first drive after we were finished. Crazy happy.

"I didn't think these kits were available any more?" The sorta weren't. We ran out of our intial batch of crankshaft pulleys for the Mondial/308/328 and the cost to make another batch was prohibitive, so we did say when they are gone, they're gone.

But since then, there has been some renewed interest, and I have a different machine shop that can help me keep our costs in line. So we are interested in making a few more.

"That's a big increase for a 2V motor" yes it is. It really helps the 2V motor breath better. That said, we have kits for the Quattrovalve motors too, and they also do quite well. I am not a paid subscriber, so I am trying not to "sell parts" here - just to inform. Dyno charts for the 2v and 4v 308 and 328 are available at our website at the link I offered in post #1 above.

    Thank you for your interest,

I bought a kit from Carl a few months back. I just started the install. The install directions are pretty comprehensive.

Looks much better with the black hoses rather than the bright red ones you used to use! Nice.

Thanks for posting, Carl! I was very interested in one of your kits a few years ago for my 328 but the IRS decided they needed my "supercharger" money more than I did!

I keep hoping to eventually purchase one and am glad they are available again.

IMO, it's the perfect power increase for these cars with your 6PSI of boost being ideal for a good increase with no issues for the rest of the power train. GOOD WORK.

No, I am not affiliated with Carl/928 motorsports! :)

IMO it's the best bang for the buck there is. I've yet to see any major negative pointed out for this route.

I've been building performance engines for most of my life and to me, this is the ONLY way to go for one of these cars simply because of the expense of doing anything else.

A performance increase that can add this percentage of power would probably cost 15-20 k (or more) on a Ferrari using "normal" engine mods. (If we were driving Ford/Chevys/Mopars you could do it for a few k…with readily available aftermarket parts)

Goodness - my search fu is weak, but just looking through pages, I found this.

Now, I may not be so reluctant to buy a 2 valve car!

What's it sound like, by the way? Is the supercharger whine very prominent in the cockpit? I have had two factory-blown cars (and Mustang and a Mercedes) and in both cases, there were times when you could really hear that compressor-whine. I suppose with a 308, you already have a certain amount of unmuffled belt and gear nose -- not to mention exhaust whistle in some cases -- so whats another high-pitched engine-related tonal to get upset about?
