Need some advice on louvers and B pilars. Mat finish as original or shinny ? My car is Black with red interior, I'm making my painter repaint the front end of my 1983 308 GTSi, due to stone chips, my painter (old timer, old school type of guy) wants me to leave the car original, but I explained to him I wanted an updated look, So the front louvers, B Pilars, side louvers and rear engine louvers would all match in shinny black as the rest of the car. Now I'm really confused, What do you guys think ???????

Hmmmm, your "making" your painter do this huh? Anyway, I would go matte finish on the engine and side louvers. B pillar is already body color finish I believe..unless your just speking of the louver when you refer to this.

As far as the front louvers (fenders & hood) I think that looks kinda hot painted body color..shiny as you say. I've been considering painting mine (Grigio).

    Just my 2 cents..

go for shiny. my 308 GTB has the engine louvers painted shiny black and it looks good that way.

Since you have a black car IMO its better to match louvers with body color.

Just wondering what would it be like to have black car with red louvers.
