No... They are too long.... I had to wrap some tape around so they'd stay in place. They work well though. They all do, actually. I really need to do the instruments! It's all that's letting the car down now.
In an off-line conversation, a fellow F'Chat gentleman said this: "...I was worried about availability, so ordered a few spares from Eurocarparts (they had them in stock!) but they were not coated in the green film which was disappointing." Not sure if other parts suppliers indicating that these bulbs are in stock leave it up to the end user to do their own coating... Would be interested to hear the experiences of others in this respect, and also if they have the rubber bits on the end (as pictured in an earlier post in this thread). All the more reason to put the original lamp safely aside in favour of Martin's LED version for daily use. Best, John.
Well, I do have a habit of going on a bit sometimes and don't want the forum to evolve into a sure cure for insomnia (If you doubt me, just read some of my input on the 'Ferrari 308 Koenig Owners' and '308 Turbo Conversions' threads!)... My current approach is to distill the nuggets and share. @Martin - Nuthin' wrong with living in the 'back of beyond' (apart from the fact that the potholes tend to bugger the suspension and Armadillo's do make a mess of the front end when impacted at 100mph... and no, the Armadillo's aren't that fast either!) Best, John.

Thank you, Rich, for your feedback. I got a few more orders during the past few days and will order more material and LEDs on coming weekend. I never would have expected that great response from you all and I'm really glad and excited, that so many like my little project. And it's a great experience in statistics, where the most hardcore originality purists are. I had orders from all over the globe, but not one from one single native German. I have 't replied yet to all, who sent me feedback via PM. Hopefully I won't forget anyone, but if so, sorry for that. Best Regards Martin
Since Germans are all great engineers and they are going to make their own inspired by your little project
at least in my case, it is because my original system works like a charm anyway, a great little project and well executed, Martin I`m sure I will get back to you . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just came across this post. Just bought a 85 euro 308 gts Thursday. Didn't know there was a light in the emergency brake handle. Just checked mine no bulb. I would like to buy a green led bulb.
Peter, I now purchased and tried exactly those, but in red, for the door markers. Since they are shorter, they fit perfectly. And you are correct. Choosing the same LED color like the lens color, is perfect. Best Regards and thanks for your heads-up Best Regards Martin
OK, my money is down on the table top!! Looks like you are in the business! Man, those shots DO look great! As does the original green bulb for comparison...
Hi Martin, Yesterday I installed the green light It was a easy job and the green light on the levers is very nice to see so now no paint smell from the paited bulb anymore in the cabin Thank You for your effort and time in doing this. Regards, Rob,
Mechanic did it for me, but forgot the "before" photo. Grrrr This is what was in it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That looks quite a bit different in form factor from what seems to be 'stock' (see posts 132 and 141). Additionally, it makes you wonder what current replacements look like... Already know that at least one place provides a lamp requiring a DIY paint job...
Hi Peter, Having compared Martin's version with my original (which has rarely seen use over the past 25-odd years), I can safely say that what you will get will be very close to what left the factory in terms of colour and intensity. Best, John.
Hi Martin, Dave in Dallas,Texas. Received my light yesterday. Went right out to the garage and put it in minutes. Works and looks great. Just the right brightness. Being a new Ferrari owner, I have come across lots of threads about dash lights being to dim, which mine are. Been searching where to buy them. Looks like I can most of them from superbrightleds.com If anybody has a better place to buy them please post it. My next adventure will be the timing belts, water pump etc. Thanks again Dave
