Ferraris site states the shape of the roofs leading edge was modified to deflect air from the cabin and reduce buffeting. My question, I've driven an 82 and was surprised that at any speed there didn't appear to be any wind come into the cabin, my wife was amazed her hair didn't get messed up. When was this change made? I'm looking at a 79 and was wondering if anybody knows how the interior air is on that year?
Very calm inside my '79, even at triple digits! You can fine-tune how much air comes in with the windows.
With the top off, my 1985 308QV is fairly quiet up until 130 mph. At that speed, the wind noise becomes very noticeable. Ken
I think the modification is for a GTS as opposed to a GTB, I think all GTS models are the same in this respect. And yes, you can even drive in the rain without getting wet, speaking from experience! But when doing so, act like the bus driver in the movie "Speed", don't slow down to much!
