Check with Ricambi America and T. Rutland. Daniel at Ricambi is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Not for nothin', but do you really need a whole new master cylinder? There are shops like White Post and Apple Hydraulics that can do a rebuild on just about any master cylinder and make it good as new. That's usually a lot cheaper than buying a whole new one.

The Pantera uses similar/same layout but holes for plumbing are on the wrong side. Would work for a RH drive Ferrari :)

Doesn't the 328 have a Bigger master cylinder, thus better for a Big brake kit.
(I bought one for this purpose.)

No, for the non-ABS 328 it is the same as in the 308 ! Funny how the Spare Parts Catalogue for the 328 doesn't even have a part number for it !
I've used a rebuild kit this year and it worked perfectly for &20, about 30 euros !!!

Guess what, Ferrari says master cylinder for a 328 is NLA :)

Whew,,, Glad I only paid $ 35.00 usa for it.

BTW; The size of the master cylinder bore is stamped on the foreward end of the Master Cylinder.

In a string started, May 2003,, Titled, ” Brake Upgrade Thoughts,”

    "For a Girodisc upgrade,,
“328 Master Cylinder, non-ABS 25mm” (Look on the foreward end.)
Stock is 23mm i believe, you DO WANT the 25mm 308 master cylinder source being [email protected] for a few hundred dollars more."

I will look at both my 1981 Mondial 8 Master Cyl and my 1988 328 Master Cyl tonight,, and photograph.

Here's a picture of my 1988 328 master cylinder, in place, before work was done
Not the best of pictures, but it's the one I have right now ...

And you are right, the old rubber is 23mm. Now is that a convertion or was there a 25mm version originally ?

Call AW 1-800-631-5589 ask for Brian. Brian use to work for TRutlands.
I purchased a clutch slave cylinder. It was over 50% cheaper than the dealer and the other advertisers here.

I just replaced the master cylinder in the GT4 2 months ago as well as having the booster rebuilt.I contemplated in getting a rebuild kit but in the end I wasn't going to save much as bore needed re-sleeving and after that I was only going to be in front $50 or so.I ended up going for a new one from Superformance.I emailed albydea as I had bought a few things off him but he told me that he was awaiting stock and it would be in at the end of the month so being impatient I just bought the Superformance one.The only thing that was curious is that it came in a box marked Fiat 1500.I have tried to do a search for a Fiat master cylinde and I came up dry.Maybe someone else might be able to shed some light
