308 oil flow question

I was wondering which direction the oil flows into the oil cooler in the 308 motor. I looked at my service manual and the arrows seem to be indicating that the oil flows from the block through the banjo bolted lower oil cooler hose then into the cooler, out the top spig through the upper oil cooler hose and into the oil filter. Is this anyone elses understanding of the flow direction?

 

Thanks guys, other than the ongoing lower oil hose replacement saga, I'm not doing anything really. During this process I got to thinking about the oil flow direction so was just curious and my copy of the manual is not that clear.
