They are turning the car into a pasta maker....sad
It makes me ill to realize the stupidity that some people can generate to sell a show. Monster garage is a monster dump.
UN......BEEEEEEEEE.........LIEVABLY.......SAD. Not only is this destruction of ART, it's borderline stereotypical racism. Like a Honda Civic rice steamer, or a Pugeot cigarette machine, or maybe a Saab meatball maker? Ciao, -Luigi
Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who thought this was a racist show. This show should be taken off the air.
i may not agree with what they did but did anyone notice how they treated this car different from other builds? the episode with the porsche golf ball collector they trashed the porshce. the panoz flying car was also hacked to pieces. but on this one they removed the hood and part of the damaged fender. took out the seats and carpet. they took time to cover the drivers side so that welding didn't cause any further damage. the windshield is the only unknown, not sure if it had chips or cracks or no damage at all, but those can and are replaced often. i have no idea as to where the car is now but it seemed to me that they were going to fix the car after this complete joke of a episode. they didn't even drive the car after they were done. and it took a week to build a pasta machine. i think they were going for shock value more than anything, "ooh look we'll hack up a Ferrari!" but they really didn't. just my observation.
True. I also agree with the comments on stereotyping. I was just waiting for a Soprano character to walk into the door to complete the "Italian image". What really frustrated me was the underutilization of resources they had there: Mechanics, engineers, a great garage with all tools and supplies and all they do is put a food mixer in the place of the copilot's seat? C'mon! What a total waste. Add a twinturbo to the 2valve car to boost it up or something Joe Blow (like me) couldn't do. Taking out the windshield and removing the seat is something I can do and don't need highly experienced Ferrari mechanics for.
