Most sources will quote a total production run of 3219 308 GTS (carbureted spider / targa top models). From my sources, there's about 12,000 308s produced in total... Any ideas how many of these are still 1. Around and running (registered with DMV/MVD)? 2. Around and sitting? 3. Destroyed in an accident? 4. Used as parts cars? Is there some historical trend or function that fits most cars, "percentage of cars still on road as a function of their age?" It's really hard to speculate on these numbers, I think... Especially when you want to know how many are in U.S. vs. other countries (some Euro models came over here, some U.S. models went over there I'm sure!). So as a starting point--think half are still around?
