I am replacing my shift shaft seal and all my fluids in my 1982 308 GTSI first I removed the oil pan then I removed very gently the gear Trans pan so I wouldn’t lose any ball bearings or springs. Well my question is there supposed to be three bearings see pic below Fig2 bearing missing?
    Thanks

Yes, 3 ball bearings, one for each spring. It may still be in the shaft, held by the grease. a small magnetic would retrieve it, if still there, otherwise it's fallen out and rolled away. Possibly the last time someone pulled the pan.

You definitely need to replace it if its MIA.

Top tip for replacing these is to use a blob of grease in each hole - it will be enough to hold the balls & springs in place while you put the pan back on. Torque for the pan nuts is the std 6.5 lbft / 10NM

Believe the spring is part #100750 & the ball bearing is #101612

Daniel at Ricambi should be able to help

    Ferrari 328 (1985) Parts : Table 28 - INSIDE GEARBOX CONTROLS

Parts 16/17/18 . Good job you've got the spring by the look of the price, though I don't know why it should be so expensive (maybe a misprint?).

Its less than $2 at ferrariparts.co.uk (which is the main global distribution point)

If it's just the ball that's missing you might get lucky at the hardware store. Bring one of the others along to compare. Probably less than a buck.

    mcmaster-carr, I think they're 8mm so that'd be 9292k45 ~$3 for 25.
