    I have a friend who paid over $500 to have his York A/C compressor rebuilt, but there is another option.
    The York division was sold to TCCI which now offers a modern A/C Compressor that has the same form, fit and function as the old units but has a 40% increase in cfm, has modern seals and an increase in volumetric capacity. I paid $306 for mine (right hand suction), see this article I wrote on how to obtain it:

    Note: While the clutch may be specific to Ferrari, the A/C compressor is not. In fact, it probably has closer association to US cars as I noticed that the mounting bolts on both the new and the old unit were SAE not Metric.
