Hi The decals on my airbox are looking very tired and could do with a freshen up. Following a search I found a link to someone supplying a stencil to do the job. Unfortunately i think they’ve stopped trading as i received no reply. Does anyone know where I may be able to find a solution to this ? Many Thanks Guy
Just as a thought for you to consider: My own airbox lettering was a mess when I got the car. Rather than to futz around with a stencil, I painted the box wrinkle black, covering up the old lettering, and installed a spare Prancing Horse which I had lying around. A number of folks who have seen it for the first time have told me that it was a "good idea". Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have also been trying to find a stencil with no success. The normal seller did not respond to me. If anyone finds a source, please let me know. Thanks -Toby
I found this. I’m not really sure yet, if this is correct. http://www.classicrare.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2165 How about making it as a DIY?

Image Unavailable, Please Login Guy good evening. Just went through my cabinet in our library and found the 2 piece air box stencil for the 308 QV,I’ve had it for many years. Send me your mailing address via p.m. and I’ll mail it out to you if you like? Would appreciate getting it back when you’re finished. Kim or send it to Toby when you’re finished. I found if you spray the one side with hairspray, let it tack up and place the stencil, you have a lot better chance of keeping the paint from bleeding through the edges when you apply the white paint. also Italian car parts in Oregon used to do a complete painting of the airbox with stencil although a bit expensive. Believe it was around $300?
I just purchased a Cameo 4 machine. It will be a gift for my wife …. LOL I’ll try with the waterdecal paper or with vinyl as an stencil. I can also try a sticker.
Is the airbox stencil on a 328 the same as the 308? For some reason I keep thinking that it just says “Ferrari” on the 328, although I guess you could use just that portion of the stencil. After these gentlemen are through I can send it your way if it helps you with set up? Doesn’t do anyone any good locked away in a cabinet lol.
Thank you. No the later 328s are different. As explained in a thread which I post above. I think it will be fairly easy for me to do a stencil with this silhouette cameo 4
Hey guys, I ended up getting a restored lid from Italian Car Parts (http://www.italiancarparts.com/). It has the screen printed logo and is 100% perfect. It was a little expensive, but I don’t regret it a bit. It looks great. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mine turned out beautifully with the two-part plastic stencil. But it took some experimentation. Black crinkle paint first. The "trick" is that, after applying the stencil, spray one or two coats of black into the stencil, to seal the edges, before spraying the white. Obviously you have to be extremely careful and align the stencil perfectly. Good luck.
Hello, I have the same issue of deteriorated air box lettering. I'd be sure appreciative if I could "rent" the stencil too. Alternatively, any idea where else I could look for same? Thank you, Michael
308 milano, Is that stencil still around? would love to get my hands on something of the sort! please let me know, or if anyone else has come up with something similar, I would to hear from you!
