    The rubber boot on my air intake (between air filter box and ouside scoop) is cracked at few places. Anybody has ever tried to fix these with a silicone lining? Is there an alternative to the original piece ($140. for 10cm.of rubber seems a bit ridiculous but then again...)?

    Mine had a small tear, I used black rubber cement, worked great, over a year ago, still perfect.
