    I was finishing up installing refurbished bumper valences on my QV and decided to spend a minute or two applying chrome polish to the tail pipes when I noticed what appears to be small cracks in the cat housing above where the exhaust enters from the engine [see attached images].

    Question: Are these terminal for the cat or can a cat be run for awhile with such stress indications evident?
