Great drive, just what the car was designed for. I think it's only when you drive down from the Alps above Turin / Milan / Verona that you fully appreciate Italian sports car design philosophy.

BUT I want a cut without that god-awful music. The V8 has it's own soundtrack ffs!

Cool video on one of the greatest roads in the world.
Less music and more motor would have made it perfect.
Looks like he would have appreciated a quicker ratio steering rack.
    thanks for posting!

    Very cool. Liked the 'tussengas'-comment:)

Does the 308 wet-sump hold oil-pressure going up or down the pass in the right-handers?

No reason why it wouldn't - in all honesty you just can not (safely) drive that fast on those roads - especially in the summer. There are a lot of motor cyclists & cyclists about. if you are on the inside of the bend you cannot negotiate pretty much any of the hairpins on the Stelvio without crossing to the wrong side of the road first in order to take a wide enough "cut" at it - they are that tight.

These videos look like they were taken either later or earlier in the year with all that snow on the ground. Stelvio is completely closed in winter, the top of it will be under 6 feet of snow!

Unbelievable road though, look up some pictures on the web & while you are at it also look up the St Bernard Pass, the Sustenpass, The St Gotthard pass & the Furkapass too.:D

Totally agree, when you want to explore the Alps you have to go there in the early spring or late autumn. These Video's were made end of october last year...
I go there every year in the beginning of may (a combined trip Alps/Mille Miglia). Many of those passes are then opened for traffic only a few days before. At that time you have these roads almost for yourself especially when you go there on a weekday...
