While replacing the upper sleeve of my radiator I wasn't able to avoid some leakage out of the hose with the result a good amount of coolant has dropped inside subsequently exiting from the gap between the covering lower and the metal panel. The coolant has mixed with the grime around the battery compartment thus creating a kind of mud which stays humid.
I want to get rid of the grime and soak up any area to prevent possible rust.
Anyone of you does know how to remove the front covering lower?
In addition, I will have to flush the cooling system so I am going to have the same problem when I will open the tap at the bottom of the radiator to flush the coolant.

If I recall correctly, I think that metal covering under the radiator & battery is part of the front valance which would come off as one entire piece.

I am afraid you are right. So the problem is how to remove the entire piece. It does not seem an easy job....

The Front Valence comes off in once piece by un doing the bolt that hold the spoiler to the front fenders. there are also bolts on the bottom as well as a plate ( aluminum ) that alows access to the brake balance adjuster.

Yes I think I saw these bolts, definitely unreachable. Unless the correct procedure implies removing the headlamp grills and even the lifting headlights... (in this case I am going to quit my project). Just want to be sure there are no alternatives though.

you can access all of the necessary bolts by removal of the front grill, bumper and front inner fender covers.

    Best Regards

As a suggestion, when I first got mine and detailed it, I sprayed a guck remover, lightly poured water on it and used a soft brush to loosen everything up, then sprayed it more forceably with water. The little water that did not drain from the two weep holes evaporated in a couple of hours. But to do a proper job have to remove valance - about 2 hours of work (for a novice like me).

Yeah, that's him. His previous was a QV that was WAY too low - used to run along the road like a paint scraper. He's pulled his front spoiler off quite a few times.

Yep - you have good access - getting it off is not as hard as getting back on! the last bolt in the front is the hardest to access.
