I should have asked in the earlier thread. Does anyone know of any 308 QV motors out there? Any leads would be appreciated. I have already contacted the usual suspects, but thought someone might know of one sitting in a garage, friend of a friend, etc. Thanks!

Just Curious. Do you need a complete motor, if so why? Also, I noticed (maybe a usual suspect) that Ferrparts.com has an "85 QV they are parting out. I have no affiliation I just noticed it from another thread. Good Luck!!

Yeah, complete motor would be ideal, just a lot cheaper than rebuilding. I contacted Ferrparts, no response yet. T Rutlands, no luck either. I have a lead on 2 possibilities from fellow Fchatters, but rebuild not even started on both as I understand it.

In case someone objects, I will eventually repair my motor to keep it with the car.

I have asked this before face to face with folks over the years and all seem to agree that it isn't just the long block that you will need but also the ignition and fuel injection from the 328. I never really understood why. Seems like it would be best but wouldn't a QV ignition and injection hook right up?

That is what I was thinking. Fortunately, I have found a QV motor, so I do not plan to find out. Unless someone wants to fund the project,...... (insert sound of crickets chirping).

Just as a matter of interest, what kind of figure would apply to a complete QV with transmission?

Without transmission, depending on condition, ranging from used to completely rebuilt. I have found from $3,000 - $10,000.
