Has anyone tried a power backflush on the radiator of a 308 QV? Any results?
The master Ferrari tech that used to work on my 308 and 328, simply removed the radiators and had the bottoms cut off, then a brush can be run up through each of the tubes to remove the accumulated crud (sort of like an angioplasty ). He said flushing is only doing a tiny portion of the job and a brush really gets it out for good. Then the bottom is welded back on, painted and reinstalled. I think they called the process "rodding out" the radiator. He would remove it, and send it to a trusted radiator shop nearby. Flushing is certainly worth a try first.
