Not really. Some seem to be fine, others not so much even when new. It's like the single belt/two belt thing with the wp and alt. Some were no problem and others couldn't keep the single belt on.

The 328 addressed both issues and they were never a problem again after 1986

But ... but ... I like the 308 body style and retro interior look better than the 328.

Here’s one for you guys this is something we couldn’t figure out. A friend who used to live in Miami with an 85QV said everytime he drive west bound (away from the ocean), his QV always ran hot sometimes overheat but driving eastbound his car never get s hot it just stayed at 195 no matter what for years. Any thoughts?

obviously was fitted with a magnetorheological thermostat that needs to be calibrated to be less sensitive to the earths magnetic field lines. ;)

Is there an ocean breeze? This would impact the airspeed of the car and air over the radiator...

Time of day? One way headlights on, other way off? Electrical issue with gauge and voltage giving false reading?

    Happened to me on a 1985 g-wagon :)

Turning the fans on earlier doesn't do anything but turn the fans on when they don't need to be on.

Weather there’s breeze or not it didn’t matter but of course the closer you get to the ocean you will always get breeze.
