Does anyone know if there is a central source to locate starter interrupt circuit chips(hardware)? The chip key is broke and it has to be left in the slot to start the car. I would like to replace the key. There might be a hundred diff types out there but just in case this was a standard Ferrari install. Short of tearing up the dash, there is no name on the part of the key that is left or on the dash mounted slot.

I've had my 308QV for more than 10 years, but I have no idea what you're talking about...

It would be an aftermarket install. Depending on how old it is, you may not be able to find a replacement key for it. The ones I've seen are quite cheaply made and are easily defeated if you have a simple multi-meter to check for which two pins need to be connected together.

You would be better off removing it and installing an alarm system with an ignition cutoff solenoid that is activiated by the alarm remote.

Thanks for the reply. I just need a replacement chip. I'll check with Magnolia and a few other install shops one day when I've got the chance. I just thought I'd check in case this was a dealer install.
