    Hi-

My 85 308 decided it would be temperamental (first time in 5 yrs of ownership) last night and not start after I moved it out of the garage to do some clean-up. I drove it out, parked it, cleaned up and when I went to move it back in it would turn over but not start. I went back this morning to try and it almost started, it sputtered then quit. I can smell the fuel, so the fuel pump must be working.

Any suggestions that a DIYer can check? I’m about 3 hours from a dealer and I don’t know any “qualified” mechanics in the Tidewater Virginia area. If anyone knows of one, please let me know, I may need their services.
    Thanks

Disconnect the blue cold start injector plug on the RH side of the plenum.

Bury the throttle to the floor and spin it till it fires. It's probably just wet it's plugs.

They can get confused if you stop and start, in mid warm up cycle quite easily, with no other fault than being slightly rich, so get it properly gas analysed/checked before searching for trouble.

Did you wash down the engine, if so you may want to check all your electrical connections, ignition wires etc. for dampness / water ingress.

I didn't wash it and no rain. I just moved it out of the garage and parked it. I did not follow my usual 5 minute warm-up before moving and I only moved it 30 or so feet, so I'm hoping Ferrarifixer's suggestion will be the fix. I had a complete fuel system over haul about 4 yrs ago to solve a warm start problem with no problems, until now.
