While getting to know my new 308 (GTB QV 1984, Euro), I discovered that the daylight flashers (under the bumper) are connected directly to the high beam in the headlights, rather than to the blue/white wires that come from the flasher relay (you can clearly see that the wiring between the headlights and the flashers is not original). As a result, the flashers only work when the headlights are on. Two questions: (1) why would someone have made this mod in the past - is this one-off or seen more frequently ? and (2) where should I look for the blue-white wires to reconnect them to the daylight flashers ? I see them behind the relays board but have no idea where they go and where they should surface again... Thanks !

On my 85 euro 308 the passing light only work when your head lights are not on. Other wise with your head lights on the high beam lights work as the passing lights. A good place to get wiring diagrams is from Paul Bennett
very easy to read color coded. Mine was $30.00 very well worth it. Here's a picture of mine. Like to find covers to fit over mine so they don't get broken from rocks.
