mine has been destroyed. This seems like a leather washer or some sort of hardened rubber. I got a rubber one but it squeezes down and still leaks a but. Anyone know where I can get an appropriate one?

My mechanic replaced mine with a brass washer. He picked it out of a bag of various sized washers. HD and auto parts stores should be able to help you out. I wore mine out bleeding the dang radiator (85 308 GTB QV - my 1st Ferrari - black on black).

what you need is reffered to as a 'crush washer' so it's going to be copper, brass or aluminum. or even fiber. i think the OEM one was fiber as that is what is still on mine.

if you are referencing the thumb-screw valve on the top of the radiator, mine has a small rubber grommet/washer. I can measure it & take a pic if you'd like. It's nothing fancy.

I replaced mine (basiscally deteriorated) with a nylon washer with approx the same dimensions. It has worked fine. Purchased at Lowes...
