I have been reading a few threads about the rear deck trim removal, and it seems there are a few variations on removing the shelf. I have an ‘84 QV GTS, so to remove the shelf, it looks like I need to: -pry off the vertical side pillar trim pieces -remove the 3 fuel line brackets (engine bay) so I can.... -remove (or move?) the heat shield so I can..... -undo the 3 shelf hold down bolts behind the heat shield Then (assuming the above is correct) I am not sure if the shelf..... -can simply be removed, or... -need to have rivets/screws removed under the side windows, or.... -need to remove the windows/trim/gasket to get to the rivets/screws. I have no leaks, so I am REALLY hoping not to mess with the windows. Also, I am trying to remove the top trim piece, and it seems you first néed to remove the back vertical pieces (which seem to need the shelf removed first). Thanks in advance for any help.
